The Issue

A local start-up found so much success and popularity in their product that they struggled to meet increased demand. The founder was stuck in a reactive rut and discouraged because she was unable to focus on growth and embrace her success. 

The Strategy

The client engaged LVL-Up to conduct Quarterly Planning sessions and bi-weekly accountability. We used the planning sessions to learn more about the current state of operations and marketing to see which business areas needed priority attention and would have the largest impact. We worked backward from the long-term vision to secure our priority goals, objectives, and focus for the next quarter. From there, LVL-Up gave the client line-by-line weekly tasks to accomplish every outlined objective. To ensure her success, the client met with our team for accountability meetings every two weeks to reinforce her understanding of upcoming work and offer our business expertise and guidance on decisions being made along the way. 

We focused on three areas: 

  1. Planning partnerships and engagements for the coming year;
  2. Building a workforce through partnerships and onboarding plans; and
  3. Creating collateral internal and external communications to serve their clients and the team.

By adding structure to foundational policies and communications, this start-up could be more proactive and prepared to handle growing demand. This strategy also opened up the owner’s capacity so she could focus on sustainably building the business.

The Solution

Through the Quarterly Planning process, our client was able to automate and delegate a number of repeating operations within the company. LVL-Up helped her formulate processes around client requests, event logistics, and training plans, which meant she was able to proactively set expectations and share instructions with her team. Elements of her events are now ready and waiting to be distributed at each stage of planning, and the business was able to run more smoothly. As a result, everyone on the team had more room to have fun and enjoy the process – an enthusiasm that easily spread to their clients.
